Privacy Policy

PayPortion (“the app”) is published by Ravenna Frank (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to the information you enter in the app. The short version: your budget stays on your device. We never see it.

What you enter

The app stores the things you type into it: expected and received paycheck amounts and paydays, budget categories, item names, amounts and due dates, and any balances owed, interest rates and savings goals you choose to add. This information is saved only in your device’s local storage, inside the app. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to read it.

What we do not collect

No account, sign-in, name, email address or phone number.
No bank or card connections. The app never asks for financial account details.
No analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party cookies.
No location, contacts, camera or microphone access.

Backups and exports

If you use Back up or Export to Excel, the app creates a file on your device containing your budget. Where that file goes, and who you share it with, is up to you. Restore reads a backup file you choose; the file stays on your device.

Hosting and the Microsoft Store

The app’s files are delivered by GitHub Pages, a web hosting service. Like most web servers, it may automatically record technical information such as your IP address when the app’s files are downloaded, for security and reliability. This is handled under the GitHub Privacy Statement. None of your budget information is included in those requests.

If you got the app from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles your purchase, download and updates under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We receive only summary sales and usage reports from Microsoft, not your budget information.

Deleting your information

Use Clear everything in the app to erase your budget, or uninstall the app to remove it and all of its saved data from your device. Because we never receive your information, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
